Ceremony of conferring state awards to the representatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan
DUSHANBE, 30.08.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Today, on the eve of the 27th anniversary of the State Independence, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon presented state decorations and honorary titles of the Republic of Tajikistan to prominent statesmen and public figures and representatives of science, education and culture of neighboring Uzbekistan.
By the Executive Orders of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan issued on August 28, 2018, the state decorations of the Republic of Tajikistan were awarded to following persons, who have made a significant contribution toward development and strengthening of relations of friendship, good-neighborliness, cultural and humanitarian, socio-economic and scientific-technical ties, as well as advanced all-round practical cooperation during Independence period for the benefit of the Tajik and Uzbek nations.
The «Order of Ismoili Somoni» II decree was conferred to Abdullo Aripov — the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Abdulaziz Kamilov — the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Sharaf Order (the Order of Glory) I degree was conferred to Khamraev Shavkat, the Ministrer of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Order of «Dusti» (Friendship Order) was conferred to Zokirjon Almatov, the adviser of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abduvahob Vahidov, the chairman of the Tajik National Cultural Center of the Samarqand Province, Ismoil Jurabekov, the adviser to the Ministrer of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tukhtamish Tukhtaev — Editor-in-chief of the «Ovozi Tojik» newspaper and Tavakkal Choriev — Professor of the Department of Primary Education at the Bukhara State University.
The honorary titles of the «People’s Artist of Tajikistan» was conferred to Jo’rayev Sherali — singer of the state institution «Uzbek concert” and Khalilova Mavluda — senior researcher of the department «Ustoz-shogird maktabi» at the Uzbek national center of makom art for his huge contribution to the strengthening of bilateral relations in the field of culture.
It should be noted that 2018 has become truly historic for the fraternal peoples of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Thanks to the strong will of heads of both states the entire set of problems and difficulties that have accumulated over the last two decades between our countries have been resolved.
The heads of the two states His Excellencies Emomali Rahmon and Shavkat Mirziyoyev were able to implement the long-term aspirations of the peoples of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Today, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are not only friendly countries, but also strategic partners whose cooperation is focused on a long-term perspective.
