Head of the Tajik delegation at the SPECA forum proposed to simplify trade procedures
DUSHANBE, 21.09.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Economic Forum of the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) — 2018 was held on September 20 in Almaty (Kazakhstan). It was also attended by the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan led by the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqi Zavqizoda.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, the forum discussed issues on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the SPECA member countries in the field of regional economic cooperation, integration of trade, transport, the environment, water and energy resources.
Addressing the audience, Zavqi Zavqizoda spoke about the achievements and opportunities of foreign economic cooperation between the SPECA member states, as well as proposed to consider the issue of further economic cooperation in the field of trade facilitation, sustainable trade principles and elimination of non-tariff barriers to trade.
