Tajik entrepreneurs will take part at the 8th Central Asian Trade Forum in Tashkent
DUSHANBE, 20.09.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The eighth annual Central Asian Trade Forum, which will be attended by entrepreneurs from Tajikistan, will be held on October 17-18 at the “UzExpoCentre” in Tashkent.
The Central Asian Trade Forum is a unique platform that allows entrepreneurs to get acquainted with the new opportunities of emerging markets in Central Asia with more than 70 million potential customers.
Last year, the Almaty forum was attended by participants from 18 countries. Entrepreneurs from Tajikistan signed cooperation agreements worth over 650 thousand US dollars.
This year, the theme of the forum “New horizons in trade and investment development” reflects the growing openness of Central Asia for regional and international trade, especially in Uzbekistan.
In parallel with the forum, there will be a trade exhibition where will be represented enterprises from various sectors across the region, including transport, tourism, information technology, equipment, production and processing of fruit and vegetable products.
The forum is organized by the USAID project on competitiveness, trade and job creation in Central Asia, which aims to promote export and employment growth in the fruit, vegetable, tourism, transport and logistics sectors in five Central Asian countries. By developing the competitiveness of companies in the region and eliminating barriers to trade, USAID helps to establish a sustainable and competitive private sector to increase export potential.
