Tajikistan US Annual Bilateral Consultations
On October 23, 2018 were held the Seventh Bilateral Political Consultations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the United States of America under the leadership of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr.Muzaffar Huseinzoda and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, Ms.Emilia Puma.
According to the Tajik MFA Information Department, consultations were arranged in an expanded format with participation of various government bodies and institutions.
During the consultations the issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, including the development of economic and political ties between the two countries, strengthening security, fight against terrorism and extremism, drug trafficking and other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
Consultations were held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
