Tajik, Kyrgyz Leaders Exchange New Year Greetings
DUSHANBE, 28.12.2018 (NIAT Khovar). The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
The heads of the two states exchanged warm and sincere New Year greetings and wished best regards to the people of the two countries.
During the conversation, it was noted that the bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan have been developing in a positive way. In this context, they stressed the importance of consistent implementation of the agreements reached following the Kyrgyz president’s official visit to Tajikistan in February 2018.
The presidents spoke in favor of furthering their joint efforts to use the enormous creative potential of the Tajik-Kyrgyz friendship, good-neighborliness and mutually beneficial cooperation.
During the talks, topical issues related to regional and international issues were also discussed.
The telephone conversation took place in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and friendship.
