Another Border Checkpoint Opened Between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan
DUSHANBE, 04.03.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – An automobile checkpoint located between Hissor, Tajikistan and Babatag, Uzbekistan was opened this Saturday.
The Commander of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan Rajabali Rahmonali and the Commander of the Border Troops of the State Security Service of Uzbekistan Ruslan Mirzaev took part in the opening ceremony, reported the head of the press service of the Border Troops of Tajikistan Muhammad Ulugkhojaev.
“This checkpoint was built in Soviet times. It is now reconstructed in accordance with modern requirements as well as equipped with modern equipment and capabilities for serving border guards,” said Ulugkhojaev.
Currently, there are 17 checkpoints between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
