Tajik Chamber of Commerce and Tatar Union of Chambers of Commerce Sign a Memorandum of Understanding
DUSHANBE, 20.03.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan Jamshed Jumakhon and the Chairman of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Tatarstan Shamil Ageyev signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) yesterday in Dushanbe within the Tajik-Tatar business forum.
“The business forum is aimed at developing trade, economic, scientific and technical relations between the two states on a mutually beneficial basis,” said Jumakhon in his speech before signing the MoU.
“Only through close cooperation between the two chambers of commerce can common interests be found, resources and intellectual potential be combined, which will allow the two countries to develop joint business projects,” noted Jumakhon.
Jumakhon also proposed to establish cooperation in the manufacturing industry, mining, construction, automotive, fuel, chemical and food industries, which are priority areas for the development of the economies of the two countries.
Export of ecologically clean and high-quality agricultural products from Tajikistan to Tatarstan was mentioned as one of the priority areas of cooperation.
“Tajik enterprises and organizations, private entrepreneurs and farms have the opportunity to supply agricultural organic products to Tatarstan. At the request of the market of Tatarstan regions, we could establish contacts to supply mineral waters and juices, which are produced from environmentally friendly fruits and natural sources,” Jumakhon said.
To date, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan and the regional chambers of commerce and industry in Russia have signed over 100 cooperation agreements.
