Antalya Academy of Tourism is Ready to Assist Tajikistan’s Personnel Working in the Tourism Industry
DUSHANBE, 03.04.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of Tajikistan Numon Abdugafforzoda met with the Rector of the Antalya Academy of Tourism Zafer Bikenoglu in order to discuss training personnel working in the tourism industry with the aim of improving their skills, reported the Committee for Tourism Development.
Bikenoglu was informed about the potential of the tourism industry in Tajikistan, its reforms, including the introduction of an electronic visa system, tax and customs benefits, infrastructure development, training methods, as well as the demand for tourism professionals.
Expressing his interest in environmental, medical, health, historical and cultural tourism, Bikenoglu voiced his willingness to cooperate in establishing services in the tourist infrastructure of Tajikistan in compliance with international standards.
The parties agreed to implement the first phase of the program to improve the skills of industry workers in the sectors of hotel and restaurant administration and hospitality. Establishing a joint training center was left for future discussion.
