Tajikistan and United States Discuss Cooperation in Combating International Terrorism
DUSHANBE, 16.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Chairman of the Law, Order, Defense and Security Committee of the Assembly of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan Jurakhon Majidzoda met with the Chairman of the Parliamentary Forum on Security, a member of the US Congress Robert Pittenger today in Dushanbe in order to discuss the issues relating to cooperation in the security, politics, economy and humanitarian fields.
The parties exchanged views on bilateral and multilateral relations between the two countries within the framework of international organizations among other issues of mutual interest, reported the Press Centre of the Assembly of Representatives.
It was noted that Tajikistan and the United States have good cooperation in the fields of politics, economy, trade, education, culture, health care, security and the fight against international terrorism.
The parties also discussed the current situation in Afghanistan, as well as a wide range of regional and international issues and joint preventive measures against the threats and challenges facing the modern world.
