Germany Will Assist Tajikistan in Building the Sebzor Hydropower Plant
DUSHANBE, 09.08.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The governments of Tajikistan and Germany signed an agreement on financial cooperation for 2017-2019, reported the Press Center of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan.
The Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Nematullo Hikmatullozoda, the Minister of Energy and Water Resources Usmonali Usmonzoda and the Ambassador of Germany to Tajikistan Neithart Höfer-Wissing attended the signing ceremony.
The agreement is for a total of €27 million.
The document was signed with the aim of implementing projects “Strengthening rural development through the use of adapted lands and reducing the risk of natural disasters” and the “Construction of Sebzor hydropower plant (HPP).”
