Meeting of the Government of Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 29.08.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon presided over the session of the government of Tajikistan.
The Minister of Health and Social Protection of Population Nasim Olimzoda reported on the progress of the implementation of the Decree of the Government of Tajikistan dated on February 25, 2017, No. 89 “On the National Program to Combat the Human Immune Deficiency Virus Epidemic in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2017-2020.»
It was emphasized that the National Program was adopted with the aim of reducing the rise of the immune deficiency virus in the republic and providing medical and social services to patients.
The main goal of the program is equitable access to healthcare and prevention services, treatment, care and support. President Rahmon instructed Olimzoda to take additional measures for quality of program implementation.
Members of the government discussed the bills which were submitted to the Assembly of Representatives for consideration. The bills concern the laws “On Making Addenda to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan ‘On the State Budget of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2019,'» “On Making Changes and Addenda to the Tax Code of the Republic of Tajikistan,» «On Making Changes and Addenda to ‘On State Duty,'»and draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan «On Making Addenda to ‘On State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs.'»
Member of the government also discussed the Coal Industry Development Concept for the period up to 2040, the State Program for the Development of Digital TV Broadcasting in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2020-2024, State Programme to Improve Russian and English Language Teaching and Studying in the Republic of Tajikistan for the Period Up to 2030, Program to reduce the unregistered (informal) employment in the Republic of Tajikistan and on establishment of the state institution Administration of the Kulob Free Economic Zone. Relevant decisions were adopted regarding their implementation.
At the end of the meeting, President Rahmon gave specific instructions to the responsible individuals for the timely fulfillment of tasks set at the governmental meeting regarding the use of all opportunities for the implementation of strategic goals.
He also instructed government members to ensure quality and timely commissioning of various facilities planned in cities and districts before the 30th anniversary of state independence.
