Ceremony of Presenting State Awards to Roghun HPP Builders
DUSHANBE, 06.09.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 6, in the Palace of the Nation, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon presented state awards to 42 Roghun HPP builders, who have made worthy contributions to the completion of the second hydro unit of the plant.
Prior to the awarding ceremony, the President Emomali Rahmon congratulated all those present with this important historical event – the launch of the second hydro unit of the Roghun Hydroelectric Power Plant and the presentation of state awards.
The head of state noted that the Roghun plant is an important strategic object. Therefore, the leadership of the state has been paying particular attention to its construction from the very beginning of independence, and has been channeling its resources and opportunities to build small and large-scale power plants throughout the country.
Operation of the of temple of light — Roghun HPP into operation is a key factor in providing energy independence to Tajikistan, an important aspect of development of the national economy and a factor in strengthening the exporting potential of the country, and most importantly, raising the decent standard of living.
Among those who received state awards were engineers, ordinary workers and construction company leadership of the Roghun HPP, who worked out on various part of the arena of honor and dignity with devotion to the state and nation.
The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon issued an executive order “On awarding the builders of the Rogun Hydropower Plant” for their fruitful activity and great contribution towards the construction of the plant. The awards included the Order of Sharaf (Order of Glory) 2nd class, the Medal Khizmati Shoista (For Distinguished Service) and diplomas of the Republic of Tajikistan.
President Emomali Rahmon congratulated all those who have been awarded and wished them health, happiness and success and voiced his confidence that they will continue to work even harder for the prosperity of the country, ensuring peace and stability of society, the development of the national economy and the realization of sustainable goals of the government.
