President Emomali Rahmon Toured MIA Facilities
DUSHANBE, 21.11.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon attended the opening ceremony for the new Special Rapid Response Unit of the Department Against Organized Crime and the faculty of Operational and Investigative Activities of the Academy of Ministry of Interior Affairs. He also examined the sewing workshop at the Department of Material, Technical and Military Supply of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). He was accompanied by the Dushanbe Chairman Rustam Emomali.
The building of the Special Rapid Response Unit provided with state-of-the-art telecommunication devices and special communication lines.
The five story building of faculty of Operational and Investigative Activities of the MIA Academy consists of 15 classrooms and two assembly halls.
The faculty which operates two departments, in particular Tactical Organization of Operational and Investigative Activities department and the department for the Prevention of Terrorist Crimes and Ensuring Public Safety which have 20 full-time faculty members.
The four story building of the department of Material, Technical and Military Supply also has a sewing workshop which was created with the aim of providing MIA employees with domestically made military uniforms. The workshop has 250 new sewing machines operated by 300 employees.
