Tajik and Chinese Business Circles Held a Meeting in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 14.11.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The business circles of Tajikistan and the Chinese Hubei Province held a meeting in Dushanbe in order to discuss the expansion of trade and economic cooperation.
The Chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan Jamshed Jumakhonzoda, the Director of the Department of Commerce of the Hubei Province Jin Jun, and the Advisor on Trade and Economic Affairs of the Chinese Embassy in Tajikistan Sun Yan delivered speeches at the business meeting.
“Tajikistan is interested in developing trade and economic cooperation with Hubei. The enterprises of this province are currently involved in large-scale projects in Tajikistan, such as the construction of a hydroelectric power station in Shurob, the construction of a cement plant in Sughd and others,” said Jumakhonzoda.
“Hubei is actively involved in the implementation of the One Belt, One Road initiative,” informed Jin Jun.

During the business meeting, cooperation agreements were signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan and the Department of Commerce of Hubei, and between the Association of Agricultural Business of Tajikistan and the Chamber of Import and Export of Tea of Hubei.
The meeting participants were shown videos about Hubei titled ‘This is Hubei Province’ and ‘Access to the World Stage Through the Yangtze River.’
The delegation of the Chinese Hubei Province was in Tajikistan from November 10 through November 13.
