WTO Will Provide Technical Assistance to Conduct the First Trade Policy Review of Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 18.11.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – On Saturday in Geneva, the official delegation of Tajikistan headed by the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqi Zavqizoda held a number of meetings with the WTO and the UN representatives in order to discuss the development of economic and trade cooperation.
During these meetings, the WTO and the UN representatives highly assessed the achievements of Tajikistan in the field of trade facilitation, in particular, the official launching of Tajikistan’s Trade Portal and aingle window for processing export, import and transit procedures, and in this regard expressed their willingness to provide technical assistance to Tajikistan to carry out the first trade policy review in the WTO and to improve the qualifications of the specialists in the field of trade.
The review is planned to be held in April 2020.
