Joint Meeting of the National Assembly and Assembly of Representatives Begins in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 26.12.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – A ninth joint meeting of the National Assembly and Assembly of Representatives began in Dushanbe this morning.
Following the approval of the meeting agenda, President Emomali Rahmon delivered his address to the National Assembly members and the deputies of the Assembly of Representatives. The meeting took place in the Kokhi Somon building.
President Emomali Rahmon outlined the main directions of the country’s domestic and foreign policy and set specific tasks for ensuring the development of economy, industry, energy, roads, transportation, security and defense, public health care, culture, science and education, social protection of the population, youth, sports and tourism.
Members of the government, senior officials of the Presidential Executive Office, heads of government agencies, representatives of international organizations and the diplomatic corps accredited in Tajikistan were also in attendance.
