DUSHANBE, 13.12.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani exchanged congratulatory messages on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the two countries’ diplomatic ties.

President Emomali Rahmon’s message reads:

«Your Excellency,

It is my great pleasure to sincerely congratulate you with the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Qatar.

Following this blessed historical event for both sides and having established interstate relations on a qualitatively new basis, our countries began to revive centuries-old ties and traditions of good relations between the two fraternal people.

The Tajik — Qatari establishment of an active political dialogue at various levels, including at the highest level, mutually beneficial cooperation in many areas, as well as constructive partnerships at international and regional organizations attest to our bright relationship.

Taking this opportunity, I would like to once again emphasize the importance of further developing mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in the interests of ensuring a decent life for our people.

I am convinced that your upcoming visit to Tajikistan will give a new impetus to this process.
