CCER Chairman Khudoyorzoda Meets With Executive Committee Chairman and CIS Executive Secretary Lebedev
DUSHANBE, 28.02.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Chairman of the Tajik Central Commission for Elections and Referenda (CCER) Bakhtiyor Khudoyorzoda met with the Chairman of the Executive Committee and CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev. The meeting was held within the preparations for the Assembly of Representatives and local Assemblies of People’s Deputies elections.
Khudoyorzoda informed Lebedev about the pre-election preparatory work.
The CIS International Observers Mission established its activities on a long and short term basis.
The parties noted that the activities of international observers contribute to open and transparent elections.
The elections of the Deputies of the Assembly of Representatives will be held on March 1. According to Article 39 of the Constitutional Law “On Elections of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan”, election campaigning begins with the registration of a candidate by the CCER and ends one day before the election day.
