CCER Chairman Khudoyorzoda Receives CIS Observers’ Mission Head
DUSHANBE, 10.02.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Chairman of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda (CCER) of Tajikistan Bakhtiyor Khudoyorzoda received the CIS observers’ mission head, Deputy Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Agybay Smagulov and his deputy, Advisor to the CIS Executive Committee Oleg Kuleba.
The meeting was held in conjunction with the preparations for the Supreme Assembly elections, which are scheduled for March 1.
The meeting focused on cooperation in the field of elections, preparation for the elections to the Supreme Assembly, amendments and additions to the electoral law, CCER cooperation and the opening of the CIS Mission of International Observers.
Khudoyorzoda briefed on the preparations, which were implemented by the Commission in order to highly organize the upcoming elections.
“In accordance with the requirements of the Tajik electoral legislation and on the basis of the plan of the main activities for the preparation and conduction of elections of members of National Assembly, deputies of the Assembly of Representatives and local Assemblies of people’s deputies, the commission jas carried out all activities relating to the preparation and conduction of elections to the Supreme Assembly in a timely manner and has provided equal conditions to all participants of the electoral process,” Khudoyorzoda informed.
Following the meeting, Khudoyorzoda handed Smagulov and Kuleba the international observer’s accreditation certificates.
