Elections Commission Registers Lists of Candidates for Deputies of the Assembly of Representatives
DUSHANBE, 05.02.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, a meeting of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda was held in Dushanbe. The meeting was chaired by the CCER Chairman Bakhtiyor Khudoyorzoda.
The meeting focused on the issues relating to preparation for the election of deputies of the Assembly of Representatives, which is scheduled for March 1, reports the CCER.
One of the important issues in the process of preparing for the elections is the registration of the list of candidates for deputies of the Assembly of Representatives in a single republican constituency. After a comprehensive examination of the documents submitted by political parties the CCER registered the following lists of candidates with their respective resolutions:
Agrarian Party of Tajikistan consisting of 13 people;
Socialist Party of Tajikistan consisting of 5 people;
People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan consisting of 26 people;
Party of Economic Reforms of Tajikistan consisting of 7 people;
Democratic Party of Tajikistan consisting of 4 people;
Social Democratic Party of Tajikistan consisting of 5 people;
Communist Party of Tajikistan consisting of 5 people.
Additionally, a resolution was adopted on the accreditation of international observers from the CIS Executive Committee consisting of 8 people and Belarus consisting of 2 people.
