Elections 2020. Preliminary Elections Results Will Be Announced Tomorrow
DUSHANBE, 01.03.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Preliminary results of today’s parliamentary elections to the Assembly of Representatives will be announced tomorrow afternoon at a briefing at the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Tajikistan. This was provided by the Chairman of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda Bakhtiyor Khudoyorzoda.
“The next parliamentary elections with the active participation of voters were held transparently and openly from 6:00 through 20:00. This is evidenced by the free participation of voters and 236 international observers from the CIS, CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, SCO, OSCE/ODIHR, the election commission of other states, the embassies of foreign states accredited in Tajikistan, and 4910 national observers in the election process, ” Khudoyrozoda said.
He added that at 20:00 the voting was over and the precinct commissions began to count the votes. The results of these results are drawn up by the protocol of the counting commission and submitted to the respective constituencies.
According to Khudoyorzoda, during the voting, no complaints have been received by the CCER.
Over 1.1 million people or 23.4% of the electorate cast their vote by 9:00. More than 2.3 million or 47.1% of the electorate took part at the election by 12:00 and over 3.7 million people or 75.1% of the electorate voted by 15:00. The elections were considered valid.
