PM Rasulzoda Examines Dushanbe-Bokhtar Road’s Reconstruction Process
DUSHANBE, 22.04.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda examined the Dushanbe-Bokhtar road’s reconstruction process.
The project launched in October 2018 and is planned to be completed in the fall of 2021, reports the Information and Analytical Department of Khatlon’s administration.
Rasulzoda was accompanied by the Chairman of the Khatlon Kurbon Hakimzoda and the heads of several ministries and departments.
The cost of the project’s first stage is $107.5 million, of which $90 million is a grant from the Asian Development Bank and $17.5 million is the share of the Tajik government.
As part of project’s first and second stage, Khatlon Chairman’s Office has planted over 2,200 seedlings of shady, evergreen and decorative trees along this road.
Rasulzoda also got acquainted with the process of sowing crops in Khuroson district’s Fakhri Istiklol farm.
This farm of 14 hectares of land works on cultivating cotton, potatoes, early onions, vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and animal feed.
Cotton is sown in an area of 10 hectares. Agrotechnical processing and softening of the soil between the beds is currently underway.
Rasulzoda also examined the experience of growing early vegetables in household plots of Abdualim Kurbonov, where potatoes and garlic are planted.
