DUSHANBE, 21.04.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik enterprises are increasing the production of medical masks necessary to comply with sanitary and epidemiological standards among the country’s population. From the end of March through April 16, 11 textile enterprises of Sughd produced 1.38 medical masks, reports the Energy and Industry Department of Sughd administration.

While considering the coronavirus pandemic, as well as in order to provide the country’s population with high-quality medical masks, the provincial textile enterprises have established continual production. The provincial weaving enterprises have a sufficient supply of raw materials and, if necessary, will be able to fully provide the population with these products.

Up to 50,000 medical masks are being produced from domestic high-quality cotton fabric at the Javoni LLC enterprise, and 20,000 at the SATN LLC on a daily basis.

Generally, over the day, 11 province enterprises produce more than 92,700 medical masks, which are mainly aimed at meeting the needs of the domestic market.
