PM Rasulzoda Attends High-level Event on Financing for Development in the Era of COVID-19
DUSHANBE, 29.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda attended and addressed the high-level event Financing for Development in the Era of COVID-19 and Beyond, which was organized by the joint initiative of the Prime Ministers of Canada, Jamaica and the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
In his statement, Rasulzoda spoke about the measures taken by Tajikistan and the international community to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and its economic and social consequences for the country.
The event was held in three segments. In the first high-level segment, the heads of state and governments declared their readiness to decisively contribute to the implementation of global solutions to combat the global economic crisis and its consequences for the most vulnerable segments of the population. The second part included the meeting of a high-level group composed of heads of international institutions. The third segment focused on the adoption of measures with the participation of heads of state and other officials.
