President of Tajikistan Holds a Telephone Conversation with His Belarusian Counterpart
DUSHANBE, 08.05.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
In an friendly manner, the two leaders exchanged warm greetings on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and wished each other well-being, peace and prosperity to Tajik and Belarusian nation.
While discussing the current global crisis, the counterparts informed each other about the situation in their countries amid the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
While noting the positive dynamics of the development of the Tajik-Belarusian strategic partnership, the two leaders emphasized its importance and benefit for the two fraternal peoples.
In this regard, further coordination of the parties’ efforts to prevent the strong negative impact of the pandemic on Tajik-Belarusian trade and economic cooperation was recognized as important.
President Emomali Rahmon also noted the importance of further close coordination of actions in this area.
Other issues of regional and international nature were also discussed.
