Khatlon Exports Over 1730 Tonnes of Agricultural Goods
DUSHANBE, 30.06.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Khatlon region has exported 1733 tonnes of agricultural and other goods this year by rail, including 19 wagons of onions (1,140 tonnes), 1 wagon of carrots (49 tonnes), and 8 wagons with cement (544 tonnes).
The goods were exported mainly to Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
Currently, 3 more wagons with onions (180 tonnes) have been prepared for shipment.
The entrepreneurs are offered benefits from rail transport in order to develop trade.
For example, there is a 60% discount on cement transportation from Yovon station to Amuzang station on semi-trailers, 40% discount on boxcars and 60% discount on onions and perishable agricultural products from all region’s stations.
Also, a 40% discount is offered on all types of goods exported from/into Khatlon to attract domestic entrepreneurs and companies.
While transporting transit goods through Uzbekistan, a 40% discount is offered on all types of goods in freight cars, and 35% by personal cars.
