National Assembly Holds Council Meeting
DUSHANBE, 25.06.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Chairman of the National Assembly Rustam Emomali chaired its Council meeting.
The meeting focused on 33 issues, including the laws On Legal Assistance, On Amendments to the Procedural Code, On Amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code, On Amendments and Additions to the Civil Procedure Code, On Amendments and Additions to the Criminal Code and On Amendments to the Tax Code.
The Council members also discussed issues relating to introducing amendments and additions to a number of codes and laws in order to improve them and bring them in line with the country’s current regulatory legal acts. They will be put into consideration during the Assembly’s second session tomorrow.
The Council members also considered the Assembly’s draft resolutions on the recall and election of judges of the Supreme Court, the election of judges of the Supreme Court for 2020-2025 and the election of an Assembly’s representative in the Constitutional Court.
The Council also adopted relevant decisions On the Assembly’s draft resolutions On the Action Plan for 2020-2025 in the light of President Emomali Rahmon’s appeals and instructions at the Assembly’s first session on April 17, On approval of the Regulation regarding certificate and badge of an Assembly’s member, their samples and descriptions, On approval of the Regulation regarding certificate of the chairman, deputies and judges of the Supreme Court and the Higher Economic Court and On approval of the Regulation on the official certificate of state and civil servants of the Assembly’s Office.
