President Emomali Rahmon Opens Dushanbe Tennis Courts and Watersports Complex

DUSHANBE, 21.07.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon took part in the opening of the Dushanbe Tennis Courts and Watersports Complex. He was accompanied by the Chairman of the National Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali.
The construction of the project designed by the Russian Rostovgiproshakht was financed through the city budget.
The three-level 2500 capacity complex includes four pools suitable for national and international competitions, three indoor, eight outdoor tennis courts, a volleyball and a basketball court, as well as a wresting, bodybuilding and a gymnastics area.
The complex is open to the public, and those aged seven and up can join the offered swimming classes.
President Rahmon also inspected the outdoor swimming pool which has been constructed in accordance with the requirements of FINA (International Swimming Federation). The outdoor swimming pool is designed for four types of water sports.
The complex, which also includes a 130 seat conference hall, is equipped with recording equipment for live broadcasts.
President Rahmon praised the quality of construction work and gave instructions to the leadership of the Executive Body of State Authority of Dushanbe for effective and purposeful use of sports and beautification facilities.
After the opening ceremony, President Rahmon held a meeting with the young athletes.
