Prime Minister Rasulzoda Visits Norak and Yovon
DUSHANBE, 10.07.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – While in the Khatlon region, Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda visited Norak and Yovon.
In Norak, he was acquainted with the progress of the reconstruction and modernization of the Norak Hydroelectric Power Plant and the progress of construction of various facilities. One of its units is expected to be repaired and put into operation by December.
Also in Norak, Rasulzoda opened a wood processing workshop, a plastic window and door production workshop, a service center, a beverage production workshop and the central landfill for municipal waste.
More than 193 objects are planned to build and reconstructed as part of creative measures in honor of the 30th anniversary of independence and the announcement of 2019-2021 as the Years of Rural Development, Tourism and Folk Crafts. So far, 77 have already been built and put into operation.
While in Yovon, Rasulzoda was familiarized with the project for the construction of the districts’ administrative building, the square housing the flagstaff and the state emblem, a kindergarten, sports grounds, cardiology, orthopedics and traumatology departments of the district hospital, a multi-story residential building, and the construction of a workshop for the production of work gloves and children’s clothing.
During the meeting with activists and business executives, it was emphasized that in connection with the spread of COVID-19, private and public lands must be used with more efficiency and plots for sowing potatoes must be increased by 40%.
The officials of the region, district, activists and farmers were instructed to strengthen explanatory measures among the population on hygiene and the implementation of the recommendations of health professionals.
The construction of various facilities continues in Yovon with the contribution of entrepreneurs and generous individuals as part of the strengthening of improvement works in anticipation of honor of Independence Day.
