Tajik and Uzbek Scientific Institutes Signed a Cooperation Agreement

DUSHANBE, 17.09.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – S. Umarov Physics and Technology Institute of the Tajik National Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Uzbek Academy of Sciences signed an Agreement on scientific cooperation.
The agreement was signed as part of the International Scientific Conference entitled The Contribution of the Leaders of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to Strengthening Friendship, Good Neighborliness and Trust, Opening a New Page of Tajik-Uzbek Strategic Partnership Relations, which took place on September 14-15 in Dushanbe.
As part of the signed agreement, scientists plan in the future to conduct joint scientific research in priority areas of mutual interest, including nuclear and theoretical physics, condensed matter, optics, quantum electronics, physical and technical problems of energy, the use of physical research methods in medicine.
According to Farkhod Shokir, director of the S. Umarov Physics and Technology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, research in the field of exact sciences plays a significant role in accelerating scientific and technological progress in the modern world. “Extensive experience in conducting scientific research in the institutes of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan allows us to jointly solve modern scientific problems, systematically improve the quality and depth of scientific research,” the scientist noted.
