Senators Take Part in IPA CIS Permanent Commissions Meeting

DUSHANBE, 19.10.2020 (NIAT Khovar) –The Deputies of the Assembly of Representatives took part in the meetings of the permanent commissions of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States through video-conference.
The subjects of the discussion were the CIS Inter-parliamentary cooperation and ways to promote the activities of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (PA CSTO) and other issues.
Bakhtovar Safarzoda, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan in the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, the Chairman of the Committee of the Assembly of Representatives on Law, Order, Defense and Security Rustam Shohmurod, member of the Committee for Legislation and Human Rights Sarvinoz Majidova, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Law and Order, Defense and Security Tolibkhon Azimzoda, member of the Committee on Agrarian Issues, Water and Land Resources in the CIS permanent Committees Muhammadrahim Yusufi took part in the meeting.
Since 1992, within the framework of the IPA CIS, the parliamentary delegations of the Member Nations of the Collective Security Treaty have regularly discussed the legal issues of the implementation of joint activities. On 14 May 2002, the CST institute was transformed into the Collective Security Treaty Organization, and on 16 November 2006 the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was established.
