DUSHANBE, 15.10.2020 (NIAT Khovar) –  The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Sughd Province today.

The purpose of President Rahmon’s visit to Sughd is to take part in the celebration of the 700th anniversary of the Tajik-Persian poet Kamoli Khujandi. An international forum will be held in Khujand on October 16, 2020.

His visit began in the Bobojon Ghafurov district, where he opened the Sogdiana Trade Service Center. He also visited the Exhibition of Kolinhoi Kairokkum. The company makes a valuable contribution to the supply of domestic and foreign markets with beautiful carpets.

Thereafter, President Rahmon met with 150 orphans and handed them with material and cash assistance packages. After the opening ceremony for the Shifobakhshi Asr Health Diagnostic and Medical Clinic, built by businessman Nasim Mirpochoev, President Rahmon visited the Sayhun Company and learned about the process of three new technological lines for the production of wine from grapes, disinfectants, and flour.

The enterprise started its activity with the production of alcoholic beverages under the brand names Araki Sayhun and Araki Khujand. Modern technological lines were purchased from leading foreign companies as a contribution toward the implementation of the fourth national goal, — rapid industrialization. The production capacity of the new technological line for producing wine is 1,000 liters per day.

While learning about the production process of new technological lines for the production of ten types of cookies at the Mahmudov G LLC, President Rahmon launched the opening of a new chocolate enterprise Halovat, which was built in the industrial zone of the city.  The production capacity of the enterprise is planned to reach 400 kilogram per day.
