DUSHANBE, 03.12.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – Due to adverse weather conditions predicted by the Agency for Hydrometeorology, some sections of the mountain roads remain dangerous, the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CESCD) warns citizens.
A high degree of danger of avalanches remains on the road sections connecting Dushanbe to Khujand, Dushanbe — Rasht, Dushanbe — Sangvor, Dushanbe — Lakhsh, Kulob — Darvoz, Vanj — Khorog, Khorog — Ishkoshim, and Khorog to Murghob.
The CESCD urges the population to refrain from traveling through avalanche-prone areas.
“Those driving through mountainous or avalanche-prone road sections must strictly observe the established interval of movement between vehicles,” the CESCD adds.
