Tax Authorities of 44 States Discuss Impact of Pandemic

DUSHANBE, 17.12.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – A high-level virtual conference, dedicated to new challenges, opportunities and planning for the development of tax digitalization in the context of the pandemic, was held on December 15 as part of the cooperation of tax administrations of the Belt and Road Initiative. The conference was attended by tax officials from 44 countries, as well as representatives of 14 international organizations.
Tajikistan was represented by the Tax Committee Chairman Nusratullo Davlatzoda and his First Deputy Ayubjon Solehzoda.
In his speech, Davlatzoda spoke about the expantion of electronic services and the measures taken to counter the negative impact of the pandemic on businesses.
A presentation on the development of tax administration of Tajikistan in the digital age follows his speech.
The participants confirmed that the impact of COVID-19 will be extensive and long-lasting, requiring coordinated, reliable mechanisms, and building closer multilateral cooperation.
