FM Muhriddin Addresses 17th Ministerial Meeting of Asia Cooperation Dialogue

DUSHANBE, 22.01.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – On 21 January 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin attended the 17th Ministerial Meeting of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) held virtually on Thursday, reported Tajik MFA Information Department.
The meeting was hosted by the Republic of Turkey, the current Chair of the ACD, under the theme “The New Normal and Safe and Healthy Tourism”
At the meeting, the heads of delegations exchanged views on priority areas of cooperation in the framework of the Dialogue. Taking into account the COVID-19 pandemic, the heads of delegations paid special attention to strengthening multilateral cooperation in the economic, health and tourism spheres within the framework of the ACD.
In his speech, S. Muhriddin expressed the position of our country regarding the main directions of interaction within the framework of the Dialogue on Cooperation in Asia. In this regard, the urgency of taking the necessary measures for an adequate joint response to emerging challenges and threats was emphasized.
At the end, the final document — the Ankara Declaration of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Dialogue member states was adopted.
