Alizoda noted that oil reserves in the registered fields amount to 2.2 million tonnes, and gas reserves to 3.4 billion cubic meters.
According to him, the gold reserves of 40 gold-bearing deposits have also been calculated. Currently, there are about 40 active and 85 potential gold deposits in the country.
“Geological exploration work is underway to determine gold reserves, after which they will be transferred to the balance of the state,” Alizoda said.
However, he did not specify the volume of the estimated gold reserves of 40 gold-bearing deposits.
According to the Main Department of Geology, a map of areas for gold mining by individuals in five regions has been developed.
