FEZs of Tajikistan Produce 200 Million Somoni Worth of Products

DUSHANBE, 02.03.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Over the past year, 1,100 jobs have been created in the free economic zones (FEZ) of Tajikistan.
During this period, the country’s FEZs resulted in 200 million somoni worth of products.
Currently 72 domestic and foreign enterprises are registered in the county’s FEZs, of which 30 are in Sughd, 25 in Dangara, 11 in Pyanj, five in Ishkoshim and one in Kulob. Of the total, 25 are engaged in manufacturing and export-import activities. Other entities are involved in the construction and import of production equipment, reports the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
The volume of investments in FEZs last year amounted to 43.3 million somoni, of which 24.3 million somoni fall on the FEZ Dangara, 16.9 million somoni on the FEZ Sughd and 2.1 million somoni on the FEZ Panj.
