Tajikistan and France Discuss Trade and Economic Potential

DUSHANBE, 31.03.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The existing potential of Tajikistan and France in the trade and economic sphere is not being fully utilized. This was stated yesterday at the meeting between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavki Zavkizoda with the French Ambassador Michel Tarran.
The parties noted that the states have the opportunity to significantly increase bilateral trade and emphasized that a number of proposals have been put forward to expand cooperation, including the creation of favorable conditions for finding markets and new buyers of agricultural products, joint ventures for processing cotton fiber, producing raw materials, fabrics and clothing.
The parties noted the cooperation in the areas of extraction, processing and export of precious or semiprecious stones, other types of minerals, hydropower, viticulture and winemaking of special import.
Following the meeting, they expressed their readiness to comprehensively expand and effectively use bilateral cooperation.
