Fattohzoda and Chiveri Discuss Developing Information Code

DUSHANBE, 09.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The Chairman of the Representatives Assembly Committee on International Affairs, Public Associations and Information Saidmurod Fattohzoda met with the head of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe Valeriu Chiveri.
The parties discussed the prospects for the development of mutually beneficial relations with the aim of developing a draft Information Code of Tajikistan.
Fattohzoda expressed the readiness of the Representatives Assembly to strengthen cooperation with the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe, including in the development of legislation in Tajikistan.
Chiveri noted that for many years the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe has been working directly with the Committee on International Affairs, Public Associations and Information, and in general with the Representatives Assembly in implementing a number of state programs.
“While developing the Information Code, the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe has attracted international and domestic experts who have done a great job of studying the current legislation, practice and comparative analysis of laws and codes of other countries,” added he.
The parties also exchanged views on the development of prospects for bilateral cooperation.
