Tajikistan Intends to Expand Trade and Economic Relations with Hungary

DUSHANBE, 08.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavki Zavkizoda met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó.
The meeting focused on issues of creating joint ventures in free economic zones for the production of textile products, processing of agricultural products, and medicines.
The ministers also exchanged views on the possibilitiy of expanding cooperation.
Szijjártó noted that the Hungarian export-import banks have prepared a quota of $30 million with benefits for Tajikistan in order to finance production enterprises and foreign trade operations.
Additionally, the parties welcomed the establishment of the Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the governments of both countries and presented their plan for the organization of the first high-level meeting.
The parties also expressed their readiness to expand and effectively use bilateral cooperation in various economic areas.
