Tajikistan Ties Against Iraq in Basra

DUSHANBE, 25.05.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, as part of preparations for the June 2022 World Cup qualifiers, the national football team of Tajikistan tied against Iraq in a friendly match.
The match was played at the Al-Faiha stadium in Basra and ended with a score of 0-0.
Tajikistan and Iraq played for the second time in their history. Earlier in the first match which took place on August 3, 1999 in Dushanbe as part of 2000 Asia Cup qualifiers, Iraq won with a score of 2-1.
The team will play the next match against Thailand at the Khalid bin Mohammed stadium in Sharjah on May 29 at 20:45 local time (21:45 Dushanbe time).
