DUSHANBE, 29.06.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

During the conversation, President Rahmon extended his warm greetings to President Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of his birthday.

The leader of the nation noted the fruitful state activity of President Berdimuhamedov in ensuring sustainable socio-economic development of friendly Turkmenistan, as well as his high reputation in Turkmenistan and beyond.

At the same time, President Rahmon wished the brotherly people of Turkmenistan peace, stability and prosperity.

The counterparts discussed the current state and prospects of Tajik-Turkmen relations and expressed interest in enriching their content with new practical steps.

In this regard, they stressed the importance of summit meetings between the parties in the near future. President of Turkmenistan invited the President Rahmon to pay an official visit to Turkmenistan. The precise date of the meeting will be established through diplomatic channels.

Topical issues of regional and international agenda were also discussed.
