Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the UN Attends Virtual Informal Plenary Consultation

DUSHANBE, 10.06.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – On Monday, a virtual informal plenary consultation was held on the review of the functioning of the United Nations Resident Coordinator system with the participation of the UN Secretary-General and other high-level officials, as well as permanent representatives of the member states.
The Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the UN Jonibek Hikmat participated and delivered speech at the event.
In his intervention, he welcomed the timely review of RC System and emphasized the importance of accountability, sustainability of investment and financing and avoiding working in silos and duplication, as well as making good use of local experts in the process of drafting UN projects in Tajikistan.
