DUSHANBE, 10.06.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Following the talks, the two presidents signed a Joint Statement of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Then, President Rahmon and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mirziyoyev witnessed the signing of following agreements:

• Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation in the field of industry and new technologies;
• A Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Complex Mining Solution of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
• Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on establishment of Tajikistan-Uzbekistan Investment Company;
• A protocol on making amendments to an agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan of August 17, 2018 on the allocation of land plots for the construction of the diplomatic mission of Tajikistan in Uzbekistan and the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Tajikistan;
• A protocol on making amendments to an agreement between Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan of March 9, 2018 on mutual travels of citizens;
• A Program of cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2021-2022;
• Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on establishment of a joint-stock company, preparation of a feasibility study for construction and operation of two hydropower plants in the basin of the Zarafshon River;
• Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on transit of goods through the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
• A roadmap for the expansion of agricultural cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2021-2022.

In general, a 36 cooperation documents were signed during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Tajikistan.
