National Assembly Speaker Holds Phone Talk with Chairperson of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament

DUSHANBE, 12.07.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali had a telephone conversation with the Chairperson of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev.
The conversation focused on сooperation between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, as well as on regional issues.
The parties expressed interest in strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation, and identifying priorities for the development of long-term friendly relations.
They also discussed the socio-economic situation in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and issues of regional security.
The officials also discussed the military-political situation and the alarming situation in the northern and northeastern regions of Afghanistan, bordering with Tajikistan and other Central Asian countries.
