Tajik and Chinese Foreign Ministers Meet in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 13.07.2021. (NIAT Khovar) — Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the State Councilor, Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Wang Yi, who is on a two-day official visit to Tajikistan.
The ministers discussed the implementation of the agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries, Afghanistan and the regional security situation and the state and prospects of cooperation.
They also exchanged views on topical regional and international issues, as well as cooperation between the two countries within the framework of international and regional organizations, including the UN, SCO and CICA.
The officials agreed to strengthen cooperation in political, economic and investment spheres, transport, agriculture and health, as well as in the fight against Covid-19 integration.

Following the meeting, new cooperation documents were signed.
On July 14, Chinese FM will take part in the next meeting of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers and the first meeting of the SCO-Afghanistan Contact Group at the ministerial level.
