DUSHANBE, 30.08.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
At the outset of the conversation, President Rahmon offered his congratulations to Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the friendly people of Uzbekistan on the historic holiday, — the 30th anniversary of state independence.
President Rahmon noted the great achievements of Uzbekistan over the years on the path of sustainable socio-economic development and strengthening the foundations of state independence.
The discussion continued on the current state and future prospects of friendly relations, good neighborliness and strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as certain pressing items on the international and regional agenda, with an emphasizes on the developments in Afghanistan.
The counterparts also discussed preparations for the upcoming SCO Dushanbe summit, and reaffirmed their support for further comprehensive development of constructive cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in the interests of the two countries.
