The meeting was initiated by the United States and Germany and attended by foreign ministers of Australia, Bahrain, Canada, France, India, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Norway, Pakistan, Qatar, the Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, UK, as well as the leadership of EU, NATO and UN.
During the meeting, the sides focused on the issues of refugees, the fight against terrorism, provision of humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan, and the cooperation of countries to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe in this country.
In his speech, Muhriddin stressed that the international community could not establish order within 20 years in Afghanistan and left us the heritage of tens of thousands of terrorists, converting Afghanistan into a hotbed of chaos. What should we do in this situation when we have the longest and vulnerable border with that country?
He also touched upon the war in Panjsher, which is made up of mostly Tajiks. He added that the Taliban use aviation with the help of third countries to attack it. Muhriddin called upon the world community to influence the Taliban and find a political solution for the current crisis.
He stressed that Tajikistan will support only an inclusive government with the participation of all ethnic groups, with the Tajiks of Afghanistan occupying their deserved place.
