Tajikistan, Japan look to further improve relations

DUSHANBE, 03.09.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – On 2 September 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Tajikistan Takayuki Miyashita.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Japan in various fields.
It was noted that education and human resource development are one of the priority areas of Tajikistan Development Strategy. Specialists from Tajikistan participate in various training courses in Japan. A positive contribution is being made by the Japanese Human Resource Development Scholarship Project (JDS) to build the capacity of young professionals in international relations, law, economics and management.
At the end of the meeting, the ceremony of signing Exchange Notes of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of Japan on the Scholarship Project for the Development of Human Resources of Japan Grant Aid took place.
