Tajikistan, Azerbaijan Hold Fourth Round of Consular Consultations in Baku

On April 2, 2026, the fourth round of consular consultations between the foreign ministries of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan was held in Baku.
The Tajik delegation was led by Bahodur Safarzoda, head of the Main Consular Department of the Foreign Ministry, while the Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Emil Safarov, head of the Consular Department.
During the consultations, the sides discussed key issues of consular cooperation, including the current state and prospects of bilateral relations, protection of citizens’ rights and interests, and other important consular matters.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening consular cooperation and continuing a constructive dialogue.
Following the consultations, the Tajik delegation held a protocol meeting with Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev.
The meeting was held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere.
